No eating or drinking (except water) for 1-2 hours post treatment.
For 24-48 hours after a teeth whitening treatment, the pores of your tooth enamel are open and this makes them extra vulnerable to any stains. AVOID EXTREMELY HOT OR COLD LIQUIDS, FOOD & DRINKS THAT ARE ACIDIC OR STAINING, SMOKING.
Brush gently to avoid irritating your gums, sensitive toothpaste and a soft bristle brush.
EXAMPLES OF FOODS/DRINKS TO AVOID Coffee, Tea, Dark Sodas, Energy Drinks, Lemonade and Other Acidic Fruit Juices, Red Wine, Dark Beer, Red Sauces, Beets, Tomatoes, Curry, Carrots, Broccoli, Spinach, Green Vegetables, colorful spices such as chili powder / turmeric.

Tooth Gem Aftercare
Don’t lick, play with or pick at your gem.
No eating, drinking (besides room temp water) or smoking for at least 1 - 2 hours.
For 24 - 48 hours avoid gum, candy, alcohol, soda, coffee, tea, spicy/citrus and foods/drinks that stain, avoid hard/sticky/acidic foods and beverages.
For 24 hours do not brush directly over the gem/s and use a soft toothbrush going forward.
Avoid charcoal toothpaste, pure hydrogen peroxide, baking soda out of the box / over-the-counter whitening strips/products
Do not remove the gem yourself, your dentist or hygienist should do that! Many do it free at the time of your cleaning, some do charge, ask your dentist or call around to others.
Regular dental hygiene to avoid plaque build up around your gems.
Rinse after meals / having acidic beverages whenever possible.
Caring for your Grillz
• DO NOT wear Grillz while sleeping, bacteria can get trapped inside, leading to potential oral health problems.
• DO NOT eat with them on. Always remove your grillz before eating.
• Clean your grillz daily to remove any food particles or bacteria but DO NOT use jewelry cleaning products or any products that could be harmful if ingested.
Don’t Use Glue or Adhesives in an attempt-to secure their grillz as it can damage your teeth and gums. I don’t recommend this practice however, If you insist on using an adhesive, ensure it is one specifically designed for oral use like fixodent or polygraph.
Maintain Regular Dental Hygiene, that means brushing your teeth thoroughly at least twice a day and flossing every day. It literally takes a few minutes to do something that can greatly benefit your dental health and overall health.
